Baroque (Wii)This game is... different. It's freaky, confusing, and unpredictable. And yet, I love it! I've yet to figure out the objective in this game, but I have a checklist which seems to be related to the way my character gets killed off. For example: my first time in the dungeon, it added "explosive end." I'll just leave you to guess what happened.
The main character's soul is suffering from a sin he committed before the world was destroyed by something called "The Blaze," which left all the people horribly mutated, some to the point where their brain and heart no longer function. Those are the things you have to purify(kill) in order to survive. The Protagonist lost all memory of anything before the Blaze, including his sin, and he can't speak. However, he seems to be the only one who can save the world.
I have no idea how many dungeons are in the game, as I've only been in the one (apart from the training dungeon) and I'm not sure how for down the "Neuro Tower" (aren't towers supposed to go up?) actually goes. Whenever you get killed, you get revived back outside, go back to level 1, and lose all of your items. Now normally this could get pretty frustrating, but along with unidentified items, and random dungeon floors, I find it adds a bit of replay value. Every time something strange or unexpected happens, I seem to learn a bit more about how to play the game. Sort of like, "Oh, I should try to throw more items at enemies!" Also, it seems like you unlock a little more storyline every time you wander through the dungeon.
In conclusion, I love this game, but would appreciate it if someone would please tell me what is going on? Maybe I should've picked 'easy'...

Nintendo Power gave this game a pretty scathing review, if memory serves... got something like a 4.5...?
Unfortunately I haven't been able to try it for myself--I am still without a Wii T^T

It's very...different. I read on the 'net that it was originally a Sega Saturn game, and was remade on PS1 before it's latest release.
I found an item that will send an item I choose to the first floor of the dungeon when I die! I hope it works everytime and not just once. I picked a strong sword to be sent up.

So did it work?

It only brings the sword up once. But that is still very useful.
There are these things outside of the dungeon that seem to teleport items. I just don't know where they come out.
This game is fun, though! It got poor ratings, but I guess some people would be turned off by the losing your items thing. Learning curve of this game: the entire time you play it.

Well at least your figuring it out, though it would be a good thing to know where the items end up coming out

The bigger problem is, getting items OUT of the dungeon. Also I really wanna know what this one switch did besides make the walls in the one room glow red.

Oooooo, sounds pretty cool.
I have a suggestion, in my expierence, Dying gets you out of most places pretty quick, but that may just be me....
