Avatar: The Last Airbender [TV]I'm an Avatard, completely in love with this show. The animation, story, and breathtakingly 3-dimensional (deep/realistic) characters make up for all the junk on Nickelodeon. I mean, there is a lot of heart and depth in Avatar. It started as sort of a trial, being marketed to the younger crowd, but it's grown in depth once they realized a large part of the fanbase was the teens who are into anime and stuff. I highly reccomend it if you like martial arts or fantasy, but it's very funny too. :3
*huge fangirl* Anyone else who watches it let me know.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzXy2c83VuU Series Finale Trailer - something you shouldn't watch if you don't want to be spoiled. The finale is fast approaching (July).
The leads are played by Zach Tyler Eisen (The Ant Bully, Backyardigans), Mae Whitman (State of Grace), Dante Basco (American Dragon), Jack DeSena (All That), and Jessie Flower (various small roles) if you know them. I only mentioned a well-known show they've been in for each but you can always look 'em up. There are 3 seasons total, each with 20 episodes (the third will apparently have 21 once it's been completed in July). You can pick up the DVDS pretty much anywhere, with full-season boxes for something like $40-$45 with an additional extras disc, or each separate disc for about $10-$13. In season 1 I believe these had four episodes each on them, but season two onward each has five episodes. Yay!
So yeah, watch Avatar. Once you start, you'll be hooked. (My favorite characters are Uncle Iroh and Zuko. <3)

I LOVE this show, sadly, I can't watch it regularly, I agree about the art and storyline, its really quite well done. And considering Nick is the one putting it out, that was a HUGE surprise.

Yeah, it's a really good show. If you get the chance watch it, seriously. I don't know if Nick has even been airing much... even in the way of old episodes.
Brilliant show. If you like, you know, Eastern culture and stuff you'll enjoy it. They implement a lot of kung-fu influence (REALLY not as cheesy as I make that sound)...
and they have this. <3

Hopefully Nice starts to air from the begining once the season ends, the show is really quite entertaining, the martial arts is a big draw, since its so well animated. The only problem I had was that some of the voices sounded so, modern, and not at all of the times, or of the people

I think with the popularity it has, they will have to air it again.
And... I don't really get where you're coming from. The Avatarverse isn't a specific time period or setting, and the cast performs fantastically IMO. If they were all trying to talk with colonial accents or like nōh characters or something, it would seem far more anachronistic. I love how they are already XD

I suppose if enough people asked, they'd probably rerun it xD
I have no idea what I mean, other then, the girl Katara? Her voice never matched up, or so it would seem to me. I love Aang though, by far the best character to ever emerge, though Zuko's pretty awesome too:D
