This was made into a movie a while back, but I never saw it. Its by  John Grisham, whom I've not read before, but I'll have to pick up more of his work, since this book sucked me in and didn't let go!

The book is about 11 year old Mary Sway, a tough little guy who's trying his best to protect his little brother and his single mom. Things get worse when Mark is pulled into the car of a suicidal lawyer. The lawyer, who's client is one of the mafia's top hit men, tells Mark something best kept secret, the location of America's most wanted body...

Mark is old enough to know that the system doesn't always work, and engages in the fight of his life. Helped by a Reggie Love, a lawyer he hires to protect him from the FBI and the legal system, Mark fights to save his brother, and himself, from the biggest mess he's ever stepped in. He's on the run from the FBI the DA, and the Mafia, and trying to outsmart them all....

(I couldn't find a summery, so I wrote my own, sorry if the spellings bad, and if you don't like it and read the book, write your own!)
